Who we are

The Mainz Psychoanalytic Institute (mpi) was founded in 1995. It is a member institute of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). We are a community of professionals, dedicated to helping people enhance their lives through an intensive talking therapy, psychoanalysis.

We offer training in child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. The mpi is the first training institute of the German Psychoanalytical Association that was approved by the German authorities.

There is an outpatient clinic for children and adolescents and one for adults. For patients with little command of German, we offer psychotherapy in various languages at our International Clinic.
